What We Offer

Building relationships with our neighbors in need through local churches

The Connection Center

The Connection Center is the hub and heart of Love INC. When calls come into Love INC’s Connection Center, volunteers listen compassionately and thoroughly evaluate all requests for assistance to determine the extent, legitimacy and source of the need.  Verified requests are referred to a local church ministry, church volunteer, or community agency. The Connection Center follows up to ensure the need was met and to offer any additional support.

The Connection Center serves anyone who lives or worships in the Hershey/ Hummelstown, PA area, which includes zip codes 17033, 17036, and the 17022 portion of Elizabethtown which is in Dauphin County, PA.

Personal Care Items on a table

The Personal Care Closet

The Personal Care Closet Ministry is offered in partnership with the Hummelstown pantry, Hershey Evangelical Free Church and the Hershey food banks. The Personal Care Closet is a place where neighbors in need who use one of our partner food banks can receive personal care, household, and baby items like toothpaste, laundry detergent, and diapers—items not covered by food stamps.

Our Hershey partner churches, local civic clubs, businesses, individuals, and The Hershey Public Library collect donated personal care products for Love INC. Volunteers pick up donated product from the various collection sites. They also manage the inventory and distribution of the items.

This is a cost-sharing ministry where Love INC will supplement the money a participant can already pay towards the repairs. Examples of eligible repairs include wiper blades, tires, brakes, oil changes, battery and other essentials totaling less than $1,500. Please call our office (717-835-0101) for full program details and restrictions.
